About this IDEA

VAGUE is a Psychological-Drama short film about a well organized man that works as a manager in a private company. he has a hobby aside from his daily routine, which takes a large space in his life. He creates handmade dolls and he is very obsessed about with.

One day,after he spends the whole day and night working on a doll inside his workshop, and while his is outside in a public place, he sees a girl that looks exactly the same as his doll.

Here when his journey starts in following the girl and getting close to her in order to find the answer of this mystery. By time their relationship develops while he still kept the mystery as a secret from her. Until finally, this journey ends in a very weird unexpected way.

Why is this idea important?

This project is not just a graduation project for us its the start of our career in the media industry. We are doing this project not as a student but as professional film makers, please help us show you what we are capable of.

More about this idea

In this project we will be testing how colors can advance the emotional journey of the protagonist, we will be using different colored props for each personalty of our charachter, as the film develops and the character's different personalities start to come together the colors begin to mix.

What is the funding for?

We are currently 80% done with our pre-production, we will be using the funds for our production and post-production.

Costs for our Production such as locations,equipment,transportation,catering and distribution, will come from your support. On top of that, we will buy the dolls we need from Bucharest.

Costs for our Post-production such as color grading, online and offline editing as well as Audio studios for our movie song.

About Amr Elmasry

I am Amr elmasry,The director of photography and script writer of this movie, Currently on my last trimester of my film bachelor degree in SAE Dubai.

My creativity comes from practicing and educational background. I am competetive ,honest, I work well under pressure and love working with teams, but also on my own as I set myself goals. I'm always up for new challenges and experience.

Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt until the age of 15 then moved to Doha Qatar and thats when i fell in love with what i do.
