A cinema janitor gets trapped inside a theater, forcing him to re-live his childhood trauma. While bound by supernatural forces, he struggles to retain his sanity.
Screen 13 tells the story of an unstable janitor working at the local cinema. Tonight, he finally reaches his breaking point. After a strange encounter with his boss Nasser, he begins experiencing a series of odd events that lead to his entrapment inside one of the movie theaters: Screen 13. After this night, Raj will never be the same.
Emotional trauma left untreated can have unfathomable effects on a person’s life. Screen 13 explores the effects of abuse & trauma on the individual’s perception of reality, and how that can affect their decisions. Morality is another theme in Screen 13, sometimes what we see as good & moral can be quite the opposite in reality, our perceptions can be deceiving.
Style: Slow in build up, tension is created through the absence of dialogue. Obscure happenings in the film – creating the supernatural
Mood: Dark, nervous, & mysterious. Keeping audience suspended in the reality of the film, - “edge of their seat”
Genre: Psychological Thriller
