About this IDEA

This documentary takes you out of the box and shows you a 4th dimension in truly comprehending the meaning of Resilience. Yasmine Zahran eradicates all stereotypes and breaks through in this emotional journey.

Living in the 21st century, in the age of cell phones and lightyear speeds, 24 hours is hardly enough for any of us to do what we need to on a daily basis.

Try doing it in 21.

Yasmine's journey through life, both concealing her ailment yet at the same time refusing to give into its restrictions is a remarkable feat within itself. Yasmine goes through life day to to day like all of us, only she does it knowing that at the end of the day, her body is holding her back.

Battling with Hirschsprung’s disease day in and day out, Yasmine might not look it, but her life has been an uphill battle since day 1. At the age of three, what seemed like a glimmer of hope turned into her and her parents’ worst nightmare. Due to a surgical error committed by the doctor, one that he refuses to admit to this day, Yasmine’s condition worsened rather than improved, making her susceptible to further disease and discomfort.

Through all this, Yasmine has remained hopeful and energetic, currently pursuing her degree in Digital Production, and hasn’t allowed this to derail her from her life goals and plans.

Why is this idea important?

Each person has something that they are insecure about, which is why every single person can relate to this documentary. Many people can be judged just by the way they look. Resilience is a documentary showing us Yasmine's battle that made her realize the different struggles one can go through in order to feel complete. Yasmine breakes all those stereotypes and shows us her the struggles that she goes through everyday.

What is the funding for?

The funding is for the following:

1. Renting equipment such as Camera, lights and batteries.

2. Production costs such transportation/ food and drinks for talents and crew.

3. Props for production design to achieve the mood we are going for.
