Rebuild Nisaa Gaza Radio that was created in 2013 by Islam Al Burbar, the first online community radio for woman in Gaza. It was completely shattered during the last war on Gaza.
In 2013 she put together a group of woman and created the first online community radio for women in the Gaza Strip. At the price of tremendous work and personal sacrifice she contributed at giving a voice to her community. She created an opportunity and jobs in very hard conditions. She didn’t stop there and also created a training center dedicated to training women on the use of multi-media. Islam saw her dream and years of hard work achievement shattered in an instant during the last recent war on Gaza when her radio was bombed and the building completely destroyed.
Gaza’s Nisaa FM was located in Basha towers inside an office building in the north of Gaza. The tower was a target on August 26th, and the whole building, including Nisaa Gaza radio office, collapsed.
The office contained all of the equipment, radio studio, computer training lab, and all the archive and furniture within. Islam and her team took it upon themselves to not stop running the radio, and started working from a volunteer’s home.
Islam wants to rebuild her life long project, so that Nisaa Gaza Radio can return its full potential, be productive and regain our hub for women in the Gaza strip

The budget of 20000$ is meant to start kick the Radio again, allowing it to run for 6 months before it starts generating revenue to sustain itself.
Budget will be utilized to:
Renting new offices
Rrebuild a modest radio studio
Purchase equipment and furniture for the radio
Rebuild a small training lab
Office furniture
Studio equipment including: recording equipment, 10 computers, a generator, and office furniture.
Basic salary for the staf.
