About this IDEA

In war... prisoners are not always criminals, each one of them have a family or loved ones that are living on the hope of seeing their faces again or hearing from them. Sometimes prisoners live in hope of a better day, saying words to their loved ones that they wished they said earlier in person. Now they are just words on a page, creating a warmth in the heart, dreaming of the loved ones reading the letters in a peaceful place. But some of the letters arrive and some are kept for a period of time on the hope that peace might deliver it one day.

في الحرب .. المسجونين ليسوا جميعا مجرمين لكن لكل منهم عائلة وأحباء يعيشون على أمل اللقاء بهم يوما ما، ورؤيتهم من جديد أو أمل وصول أي خبر أو رسالة منهم. بعض السجناء يعيشون على أمل الغد الأفضل ويكتبون كلمات لأحبائهم كانوا يتمنون لو أنهم يخبرونهم بها وجها لوجه. هي مجرد كلمات تبعث الدفئ في قلوبهم وهم يتخيلون وجوه من أحبوا في مكان ما يملؤه السلام. بعض تلك الرسائل تصل والبعض الآخر يبقى على أمل أن يحمله السلام لهم يوما ما

Why is this idea important?

This is 4 min short film (Arabic with English subtitles) about the letters that might reach to the reader or might not and I am hoping to highlight the human side inside each one of us when in similar situation when nothing matters except being home again with your loved ones. I want to start a spark of hope and my hope is that I succeed with your suppport.

رسالة هو فيلم قصير مدته 5 دقائق يتحدث عن إنسان يعيش في لحظات قد تكون الأخيرة على أمل رؤية من يحب أو حتى أن تصلهم رسائله .. الأخيرة! أود أن أبعث بعض الأمل من خلال هذا الفيلم ومن خلال دعمكم المعنوي أولا ثم المادي. أنا أؤمن بالتغيير السلمي ومن خلال الأفلام أتأمل أن يكون هناك غد أفضل. نوصل أصواتنا وآمالنا عن طريق الشاشة الفضية وأملي أن تشاركوني في إيصالها.

What is the funding for?

The funding is for post-production cost and festival submissions.

هذا الدعم سيكون لتغطية تكاليف مابعد الإنتاج وتكاليف تقديم الفيلم للمهرجانات العالمية والمحلية.

Why stretching the goal to be raised?

I have added the first amount which hardly covers 50% of the budget I was looking for, but I was not sure of the response. After the amazing response I received for the innitial budget, I wanted to see if I can raise more to cover my cost.

I hope to touch more of the film lovers hearts and get their support.

I write to share my ideas, I imagine to share my dreams and I mix both together to add a life to them and move this mixture to the bigger screen. My passion is short films and I believe in its power.
